Healthy Thanksgiving Ideas Are Everywhere!

My inbox has been flooded over the past week with different websites exaulting their Thanksgiving suggestions. Some are healthy, some not so much. But the internet is rich with healthy Thanksgiving options, if you know where to look.

The key to having a healthy Thanksgiving is really two fold - keep your portions in check and when cooking, don’t overdo the fats or sugar. If this is your first Thanksgiving you are cooking for, then keep the menu simple and cook as much as you can ahead of time. This will keep you stress-free and let you actually enjoy your Thanksgiving.

Need inspiration? Check out these sites:

  • Cooking Light has resources for first-timers, vegetarians, the gravy challenged, and more.
  • Martha Stewart has several potential recipes and menus on her site, along with tips and tricks.
  • All Recipes also has all sorts of tips, tricks, potential menus (for the beginner and the more advanced cook).
  • Better Homes & Gardens has their own ideas for a healthy Thanksgiving.
  • If fast is more your speed, then Rachel Ray has some ideas for you.
