For most people the holiday season is a time of overindulgence in high fat and sugary foods.  It’s also the time when people find themselves imbibing more alcohol than usual.

Tip # 5:  Limit your alcohol consumption

Drinks with alcohol are surprisingly high in calories, often packing well over 100 calories per drink.  But, the danger in drinking alcohol is more than the calories  It can also destroy the ability to maintain control over the quantity and portion size of food consumed.  Think ahead and try to limit yourself to non-alcoholic drinks, such as sparkling water.  It can make a big difference.
