During the holiday season, people often set strict rules to avoid gaining weight. However, when they slip up and eat too much, they give up entirely and continue to eat or drink with abandon.
Avoid setting goals that are too strict. They’re impossible for most people to follow and lead to a feeling of “falling off the wagon” when you overindulge. Aim for eating reasonably, with treats here and there. If you do eat more than usual, try not to be disappointed. It’s normal to occasionally eat more than normal during the holidays.
