Wedding Countdown… 214 Days

I’m getting married.

This means I need to lose, like, 500 pounds over the next seven months.

Just joking!  But, seriously, I would love to shed a couple of pounds and tone up before the big day.  Since I graduated from college, I’ve lost seven pounds and kept it off.  But, as all dieters do, I feel like I’ve hit the proverbial wall.  I work nights and my schedule can be a little crazy (okay, I lied, its always crazy).  My biggest problem has been finding a routine and sticking with it.  So, I’ve decided its time to really hunker down and focus on myself… and take all you readers along for the ride.

Here are my stats this week (according to my nifty scale):

Weight:135.2 pounds

Body Fat: 28.4%

Height (if only this number would increase!): Five feet, five inches

My goal thfor the next two weeks is to eat three square meals a day and work out at least four times.  I’ve never really had a problem getting to the gym because I like to work out.  But, resisting tasty treats or snacks is tough for me (I have a major sweet tooth).  However, I work really well if I’m rewarded.  So, Ive decided if I meet my goal this week, I can treat myself to something small, but worthwhile (aka, not food)!

I would love to hear any tips or advice from former brides about their experience.  Leave me a post!!!

Let the games begin!!!

Hey there, May!
I’m actually on the same countdown myself. Our wedding is in about 6 months and I’ve been on a weight loss, or perhaps tone up, campaign as well! So far, it’s been mainly focussed on eating bigger breakfasts, better lunchs and smaller dinners, cutting down the alcohol consumption, and tons and tons of working out. I’ll have to follow along and see how things go for you and let you know if I discover anything useful!
