Did I actually lose weight? YES!

Okay, so I know the headline is exciting… but my victory is admittedly a small one. I’ve lost two pounds over the last two weeks. However, although I would like to have seen more weight come off, I know that I am losing at a healthy rate.

Cutting caffeine out of my diet definitely helped me catch up on my sleep. We really don’t think about how important sleep is in our weight-loss battles. You can read more about it here. And getting more sleep has definitely given me more energy to get up, get things done and squeeze in some exercize.

I’ve also been cutting down on my snacks. I’m a major snacker, especially while at work. Granted, I do bring my snacks from home (instead of getting them out of the vending machine), but I have been measuring out my portions so I know exactly how many calories I’m eating outside of my meals. I’ve also been keeping up with my little book, writing down everything I eat during the day.

I hope to have more good news for you next week… And I would love to hear more from other dieters… Especially those with a deadline like me!

Wish me luck!

I’m hoping that I’ll have an 8 month deadline sometime very soon… so I’m in relatively the same boat. I’d really like to lose 15 pounds between now and then.

I’m working on training for an 8K race which I hope will go a long way to taking off those 15 pounds. Along with that, as spring slowly gets here, I’m hoping fresh fruits and veggies will start to come back.

I’m following your posts regularly. Thanks for the inspiration.
