Pick Some Power with Papaya
I only recently discovered papayas myself, but did you know just how good papayas actually are for you?
A ripe papaya has almost a three-day supply of Vitamin C packed into it, along with a healthy dose of both Vitamin E and A. With a negligible amount of fat (0.43g) and minimal calories (119), this is a fruit you can certainly feel good about eating. A Washington DC consumer advocacy group even say that papaya is in the top 5 fruits in terms of health benefits, right alongside kiwi, guava, watermelon and grapefruit. Eat up!
