Dear Darcia:

Thank you for sharing your recipes. I am on day seven, and feeling very good. I use a pillow case with the top 60% cut off as a juicing bag, works great.

Congrats to you Darcia! Way to go on your training.

I had my own answer to your question and I did consult David Rainoshek at juicefeasting.com to make sure I am giving you an informed response.

His advice was similar to my thoughts on the subject.

Whereas adding juices to your diet during training is an excellent idea we both are in agreement when we say that taking on a juice feasting in addition to training, would not be recommended.

You will experience major house cleaning within your body (detoxing) during a juice feast and it might not work well with training, which is an accomplish in-and-of itself.

Mr. Rainoshek suggests drinking as much juice as you want in conjunction with green smoothies, green soups and loads of fruit.

Also, 2 tablespoon MSM with lemon juice. This prevents inflammation and help repair stressed tissues. Finally, Vitalzym can also help reduce inflammation and prevent the tightening up of tendons.

Good luck!

Congratulations, I have been following your journey and can't wait to start. I am training for the Nashville Marathon (April 26). Would you recomend starting the juice feast now or waiting until after the Marathon. I will be walking/running the marathon not trying to win.
